The Role
As a Rental Desk Controller, you’ll play a key role in keeping the rental operation running efficiently. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring every enquiry is handled professionally while coordinating vehicle availability and supporting the day-to-day operation.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage incoming rental enquiries via phone and email.
- Match customer requirements with available vehicles.
- Coordinate vehicle availability, servicing and compliance.
- Liaise with workshop and internal departments to ensure vehicles are prepared on time.
- Prepare rental documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Update internal systems with bookings, contracts and vehicle movements.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maximising fleet utilisation.
- Resolve customer queries quickly and professionally.
- Ensure all administration is completed accurately and on time.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a customer service, rental, transport or fleet environment is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
- Good IT skills and experience using computer-based systems.
- A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commercial awareness and a passion for delivering first-class customer service.
