The Role
As a Yard Operative, you’ll play an important part in ensuring all equipment is cleaned, maintained and ready for customers.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining the depot yard
• Washing plant, equipment, cabins and welfare units
• Preparing cabins and welfare units ready for hire
• Cleaning toilets and welfare facilities to a high standard
• Carrying out basic visual inspections before equipment is rehired
• Assisting with loading and unloading equipment when required
• Keeping the yard safe, tidy and organised at all times
• Supporting the depot team with general yard duties
• Following all health and safety procedures

About You
The successful candidate will have:

• A strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive and reliable attitude
• Good timekeeping and a proactive approach to work

Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, industrial, construction, cleaning or labouring environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
