The Role of Tanker Technician

As a Tanker Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing tanker trailers, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and ready for operation.

Duties of the Tanker Technician
 

• Carry out routine inspections, servicing and repairs on tanker trailers.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Complete repairs to a high standard, ensuring all work meets DVSA and company compliance requirements.
• Accurately complete workshop documentation and job records.
• Work closely with the workshop team to deliver an efficient and high-quality service.
• Follow all health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements of the Tanker Technician
 

• Previous experience working as a Tanker Technician, HGV Technician, Trailer Technician or within a similar mechanical role.
• Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude with a proactive approach to work.
• Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
