The Role
As a Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of groundscare and agricultural machinery, including compact tractors, UTVs, ATVs, and grass care equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing machinery to manufacturer standards.
- Fault finding using both mechanical and electrical diagnostic techniques.
- Completing accurate job documentation while ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards.
- Installing new equipment and providing customer demonstrations where required.
- Working closely with the workshop and service teams to deliver work on time.
- Travelling to customer sites across the local area to carry out field service work (a full UK driving licence is essential).
You’ll ideally have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Land-Based Engineering or a related discipline such as Plant, HGV, or Construction Equipment.
- Previous experience servicing and repairing agricultural or groundscare machinery.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- A positive attitude and willingness to undertake ongoing manufacturer training.
- The ability to work independently, manage your workload, and perform well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during busy seasonal periods when required.
