Tyre Fitter

Position: Tyre Fitter
Location: Thornaby, North Yorkshire
Salary: £15.00 – £16.00 per hour (higher rates considered depending on experience)

Kemp Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established bus and coach operator in Thornaby to recruit an experienced Tyre Fitter to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tyre fitter looking for a stable, full-time role with a respected company. Candidates from car, van or commercial vehicle backgrounds are encouraged to apply – previous heavy vehicle experience is not essential.

The Role:

• Fitting, repairing and replacing tyres
• Inspecting tyres for wear and damage
• Carrying out puncture repairs where appropriate
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety procedures

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 4:00pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Weekend rota: Work 2 weekends on, 2 weekends off
• Saturday mornings only: 8:00am – 1:00pm

What’s on Offer:

• £15.00 – £16.00 per hour (applicants seeking a higher rate are welcome to apply, depending on experience)
• 22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
• Full-time, permanent position

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent) in Tyre Fitting
• Minimum of 1 year’s tyre fitting experience
• A positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Heavy vehicle experience is beneficial but not required
