The Role
As a Mobile Generator Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of diesel and electric generators at customer sites across your designated area.
Your responsibilities will include:

Routine servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel and electric generators
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Carrying out planned maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
Inspecting equipment to ensure it is safe, reliable and ready for operation
Completing service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
Advising customers on equipment condition and any additional work required
Ensuring all work is completed in line with company health and safety procedures
Delivering a professional and efficient service while representing the company on customer sites

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Generator Engineer, Power Generation Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (desirable)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on diesel generators or similar equipment
Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs independently
A good understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems and control panels
A full UK Driving Licence
A proactive attitude and excellent customer service skills
