Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (flexible as required to suit business needs)
Full time, permanent
Earning Potential – Salary:
£53,500 per annum basic
15% annual bonus (approx £8,025)
Realistic OTE: £61,500
Company Vehicle Leasing Scheme available (after 6 months)
Overview
We’re looking for a Workshop Services Manager to join a world-renowned commercial vehicle manufacturer in Avonmouth. This is a senior leadership role – sitting between the General Manager and Workshop Foreman – managing the workshop team, scheduling work, planning daily operations, and delivering the best service to customers. Key Responsibilities
- Managing the team within the workshop – scheduling work and planning daily operations
- Supporting the Branch Manager in the running of the workshop
- Developing and managing customer relationships to ensure needs are met
- Reviewing and amending processes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Monitoring and reporting on business KPIs – driving results
- Operating with budgets, results, and targets in mind
- Communicating with different departments to ensure properly aligned workshop operations
- Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained throughout the workshop
What You’ll Need
- Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Qualification / IRTEC Accreditation & Workshop + Leadership Experience
- Proven experience in a workshop management or supervisory role within the commercial vehicle sector
- Strong organisational and forward-thinking skills – able to plan and schedule workload effectively
- Excellent customer service skills – developing relationships and meeting customer needs
- Continuous improvement mindset – reviewing processes to drive efficiency
- Strong communication skills – able to work across departments
- Health & Safety focused – putting safety first throughout the workshop
