Salary: £26,436 – £28,000
Hours: Mon-Fri
Overtime: Available at enhanced rates

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Shop Assistant to a well-established and growing hire company, for a Paint Shop Assistant to join their busy depot in Huntingdon.
As a Paint Shop Assistant, you’ll be responsible for preparing welfare units for painting and refurbishment, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards before being returned to customers.
Duties

• Clean the exterior of welfare units before preparation work begins.
• Fill, sand and prepare bodywork ready for painting.
• Carry out quality inspections throughout the preparation process.
• Maintain stock levels of paint and preparation materials, reporting requirements to the Depot Manager.
• Ensure the paint shop and work area remain clean, organised and safe.
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in paint preparation, bodyshop, vehicle refurbishment or a similar role (preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good awareness of health and safety within a workshop environment.
• A reliable and punctual approach to work.
