Role: Installation Engineer – Fire Biased
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: £DOE + Door to door + Van
Shift: Monday – Friday (8.00am – 5.00pm)
My client, a nationally renowned Security and Communications Company that specialise in the design, installation, service and maintenance of integrated security systems and manufacture specialist equipment is looking for an Installation Engineer (Fire Biased) to join a growing team in the Nottinghamshire area
As an Installation Engineer you will be responsible for
Installing Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control, Intruder Alarm Systems and CCTV across commercial and industrial customer sites.
Carrying out upgrades to Fire Alarm Systems, P6 systems and Emergency Lighting as part of a two-person installation team.
Delivering installations to a high standard, ensuring all work complies with current industry regulations and company procedures.
Ensuring complete customer satisfaction before leaving site by providing a professional and high-quality service.
Completing accurate handover documentation, commissioning paperwork and timesheets.
Providing excellent customer service and representing the business professionally at all times.
Working safely in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and safe working practices.
Liaising effectively with colleagues, customers and project managers to ensure installations are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Maintaining company equipment, tools and vehicles to a high standard.
Identifying and reporting any additional works or potential improvements where appropriate.
The successful Installation Engineer will have the following attributes and experience
Proven experience installing fire and security systems within commercial and industrial environments
Minimum of 3 years’ experience installing fire alarm systems
FIA Part 1 Installer qualification
FIA Level 3 Installation qualification
GENT Advanced certification is desirable
ECS/CSCS Card
Full UK Driving Licence
Good IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office and mobile technology
Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation documentation
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills where required during installations
A positive, self-motivated and proactive attitude
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
Well organised with excellent time management and self-discipline
A team player who is keen to learn new technologies, products and installation techniques
Committed to delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service at all times
