Role: Industrial and Automatic Door Engineer
Location: London and the surrounding areas 
Salary: Up to £21ph DOE
Shift: Monday – Friday (40 hours)
Overtime: Offered at 1.5x
On Call: Offered but not mandatory 

My client, a respected independent specialist in Industrial and Automatic Door Systems, is looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Industrial and Automatic Door Engineer. This is a permanent, field-based role offering consistent work, a local patch, and the opportunity to expand your technical knowledge.

As an Industrial and Automatic Door Engineer you will be responsible for
Working remotely from home and travelling directly to customer sites, as there is no local depot.
Attending reactive call-outs and responding efficiently to urgent breakdowns and repair requirements.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure doors and equipment remain safe, reliable and compliant.
Identifying faults, carrying out repairs and completing further works where required.
Completing new installations from start to finish, including wiring, testing and commissioning.
Servicing, repairing and installing a wide range of equipment, including industrial doors, roller shutters, sectional shutters, entrance doors, steel fire exits and automatic doors.
Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with relevant industry standards, regulations and company procedures.
Working independently to manage a daily workload while maintaining effective communication with customers and colleagues.
Completing accurate job documentation and ensuring work is left safe, secure and fully operational.

The successful Industrial and Automatic Door Engineer will have the following experience
Sectional doors – lead engineer who can install, carry out repairs, change springs, cable breaks, motors and competent with GFA panels and can wire and commission an install.
Roller shutters – lead engineer who can install, carry out repairs, wire and commission
Steel doors and Aluminium doors – survey, carry out repairs, install new
Auto doors – fault find and repairs, changing motors, belts and panels
