We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join an established Groundcare team based near Guildford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and is looking to develop their skills within the groundcare and agricultural machinery sector
The Role
This is a predominantly mobile Service Engineer position, with the majority of servicing, maintenance and repair work carried out at customer sites across Surrey and the surrounding areas.
You’ll be provided with a fully expensed service vehicle and fuel card, allowing you to travel directly to customers and tackle a wide variety of engineering challenges. No two days are likely to be the same, but you’ll always have the support of the team when needed.
Your customers will include contractors, local authorities, schools, golf courses and private estates, giving you the opportunity to work on a diverse range of groundcare machinery and equipment.
About You
Ideally, you’ll have previous experience within the agricultural, groundcare, plant or related engineering sectors, although product-specific training will be provided.
We’re looking for someone with a strong engineering foundation and practical knowledge of areas such as:
- Diesel engines
- Transmissions
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulics
- Mechanical fault-finding and repair
Essential Skills & Experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Good working knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrics and hydraulics
- Strong customer service skills
- Confident working independently and managing your own workload
- Maths and English to GCSE level
- A qualification in Land-Based Engineering would be advantageous, but is not essential
What’s on Offer?
As well as a varied and rewarding engineering role, you’ll receive a comprehensive package designed to support your career, wellbeing and work-life balance, including:
- Competitive salary and performance-related recognition
- Fully expensed company service vehicle and fuel card
- Comprehensive training and ongoing career development
- Product training and support through Kubota UK
- Health, wellbeing and lifestyle support, including virtual GP services
- Generous holiday allowance
- Charity volunteering days
- Opportunities for formal and on-the-job training
- A friendly, supportive team environment
- Social activities and opportunities to connect with colleagues across the wider business
If you’re an experienced Engineer looking for a varied mobile role where you can develop your skills and work with quality groundcare machinery, we’d love to hear from you.
