Kemp Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Recovery Driver to join a well-established business based in Thetford.
This is a Monday-to-Friday position carrying out the recovery and transportation of vehicles weighing up to 5 tonnes. There is no staying away required, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced recovery professional looking for a stable weekday position with good overtime earning potential.
Applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence and IVR qualification.

The Role
As a Recovery Driver, you’ll be responsible for the safe recovery, loading and transportation of vehicles weighing up to 5 tonnes.
Your responsibilities will include:

Recovering vehicles from customer sites and roadside locations
Loading, securing and transporting vehicles safely
Recovering and transporting vehicles weighing up to 5 tonnes
Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each journey
Ensuring vehicles are correctly secured in line with safety requirements
Completing all necessary recovery and transport documentation
Carrying out daily checks on the recovery vehicle
Communicating professionally with customers and the transport team
Following company health and safety procedures at all times
Ensuring all recoveries are completed safely and efficiently

About You
To be considered for this position, you must have:

HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence
Valid IVR qualification – essential
Previous vehicle recovery experience
Experience safely loading and securing vehicles
Good understanding of driver and road safety regulations
Strong customer service and communication skills
A reliable and professional approach to work
