Position: LCV Technician / Car & Van Mechanic
Salary: £35,360 – £40,000 per annum
Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Overtime: Available & Optional
Location: Preston

We are currently looking for an LCV Technician / Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic / Van Mechanic to join our client’s dedicated Engineering team, working on a local authority contract and maintaining a multi-brand fleet of cars and vans. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced LCV Technician who is looking for a stable role working across a varied fleet in a professional workshop environment.

LCV Technician / Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic / Van Mechanic Required Qualifications:

MOT Class 5 & 7 Tester Certificate – Essential
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience working on cars and/or light commercial vehicles

LCV Technician / Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic / Van Mechanic Main Duties:

General servicing, maintenance and repair of a multi-brand fleet of cars and vans
Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
MOT preparation and presentation
Carry out MOT testing to Class 5 & 7 standards
Identify and rectify running defects
Ensure all vehicles are maintained to a high standard and are safe and roadworthy
Complete all relevant inspection and maintenance documentation
Cope with the day-to-day pressures that a busy vehicle workshop brings
