Ready to take your construction machinery expertise to the next level? We’re recruiting for an experienced Construction Service Technician to join an established and highly skilled team in Essex.

This is a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys solving problems, working with modern machinery and diagnostics, and delivering a first-class service to customers. You’ll have access to manufacturer-level technical support and training, alongside an experienced team that knows the industry inside out.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping construction machinery operating safely and efficiently. You’ll diagnose faults, carry out repairs and maintenance, and work across a variety of jobs including chargeable, warranty and internal repairs.

You’ll be working with the latest technology, including advanced laptop diagnostics and telemetry systems, giving you the tools and support to do the job properly.

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from experienced technicians with a background in construction, agricultural machinery, plant or a similar industry.

• Strong diagnostic skills, particularly across hydraulic and electrical systems
• Experience using computer-based diagnostic and specialist software
• The ability to carry out high-quality repairs and fault finding
• Confidence working with heavy machinery and specialist tools
• A strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• The resilience to work under pressure and meet customer demands
• A full, clean UK driving licence
• A good general level of health and fitness

The role can involve occasional longer hours and weekend cover on a rota, so flexibility is important.

What’s On Offer

Location: Essex Area
Hours: 39 hours per week
Overtime: Paid at time and a half after 39 hours

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
