Job Title:              Welder / Fabricator
Location:             Dukinfield
Salary:                 £42,000 – £45,000
Hours:                   Monday to Friday Day Shift
Overtime:           Available and paid at 1.5X
Benefits:             All overtime paid at 1.5X,  Health plan, increasing holiday allowance, half/full year bonus schemes, and free onsite parking

Opportunity for a Welder / Fabricator in Dukinfield

We’re seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join our team at a leading commercial vehicle and trailer specialist’s maintenance and refurbishment facility in Dukinfield. This is your chance to be part of a multi-site commercial fleet maintenance and repair company dedicated to excellence in vehicle repair and refurbishment.

Key Responsibilities of the Welder/Fabricator:

• Perform high-quality welding and fabrication on commercial vehicles and trailers
• Ensure all modifications, repairs and fabrications adhere to depot procedures and industry standards
• Assist in trailer rebuilds, ensuring structural integrity and safety
• Accurately complete job sheets and maintain detailed records
• Participate in preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan of vehicles and trailers
• Working with various materials such as fibreglass, steel, aluminium and hardwood using skills including drilling, cutting, riveting, welding and grinding

Required Skills and Experience for the Welder/Fabricator:

• Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator, specifically working on trailers and HGV’s
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and materials used in trailer fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
