Role: Escalator Service Engineer
Salary: £41,000–£58,000 DOE + Door-to-Door + Company Van + Fuel Card
Location: Reading & Surrounding Areas / M4 Corridor
Shift: 40 hours + Overtime available
On Call: 1 in 4–5 rota + standby and enhanced overtime rates

Are you an experienced Escalator Engineer looking for your next opportunity? My client is expanding their engineering team and is looking for skilled engineers to cover Reading and the surrounding M4 Corridor.

This is a great opportunity to join an established business with a large portfolio of escalators across commercial environments. You’ll have the freedom to plan your own week, work independently and receive strong technical support when needed.

As an Escalator Service Engineer you will be responsible for:
Servicing, maintaining and repairing escalators across customer sites
Carrying out fault-finding and diagnostics
Responding to reactive breakdowns and planned maintenance
Identifying faults and completing effective repairs
Managing your own workload and planning your working week
Completing service reports digitally with minimal paperwork
Working safely and professionally across customer sites

The successful Escalator Service Engineer will have the following experience:
Previous experience working on escalators
Strong fault-finding and repair skills
NVQ Level 3 or time-served engineering background
Ability to work independently without constant supervision
Good customer-facing and communication skills
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Stable employment history and a genuine interest in long-term progression

The Escalator Service Engineer will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes:
£41,000–£58,000 DOE + Door-to-door pay
Company van + fuel card
Specialist equipment provided
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
Birthday off
Additional holiday entitlement with long service, up to 30 days + Bank Holidays
Long-term career development and progression
