About Your New Company

A well-established commercial vehicle operation is expanding its workshop team and is looking for additional HGV Technicians to join a busy, modern maintenance operation. The workshop runs a mixed fleet of trucks, trailers and vans, giving technicians the opportunity to work across a varied range of commercial vehicles rather than being tied to one manufacturer.

The existing team consists of 16 Technicians and 5 Apprentices, providing a strong and experienced workshop environment.

About Your HGV Technician Role

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, servicing, inspection, diagnosis and repair of a mixed commercial vehicle fleet. The role offers genuine variety across trucks, trailers and vans, with all vehicles maintained in-house.

Shift Patterns Available

7:00am – 5:00pm
8:00am – 6:00pm
2:00pm – 10:00pm
Tuesday -Friday 7:00pm – 7:00am

There is flexibility around shift patterns, making this suitable for Technicians looking for different working arrangements.

The Successful HGV Technician Will Require

Level 3 qualification OR time-served experience
HGV maintenance and repair experience
Experience working on commercial vehicles
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
A reliable and proactive approach to workshop maintenance
Class 1 and IRTEC are not essential – training can be provided
Open to experienced Technicians looking to develop their qualifications

Salary

Pay will reflect experience levels and qualifications. They are keen to speak to everyone from newly qualified Technicians through to Senior/Master Technicians who are either qualified or time served.
