Area Sales Representative – Equipment Hire
Location: Milton Keynes
Basic Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year
Commission: Up to 40% of basic salary

Kemp Recruitment is recruiting for an Area Sales Representative based out of Milton Keynes, joining an established equipment hire business.
You’ll develop existing customer accounts and win new business across your territory. Working closely with local depots, you’ll identify hire opportunities, build strong customer relationships and increase revenue across a range of equipment and services.
What’s on Offer?

• £40,000–£45,000 basic salary
• Commission potential of up to 40% of basic salary — £16,000–£18,000 additional earnings
• Total annual earning potential of £56,000–£63,000
• Company car

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customer accounts
• Identify and secure new business through prospecting, calls and customer visits
• Promote the company’s range of hire equipment and services
• Build relationships with site teams, procurement contacts and key decision-makers
• Prepare tailored quotations, proposals and customer agreements
• Re-engage dormant accounts and identify opportunities to increase customer spend
• Support major accounts through regular site and regional office visits
• Work closely with depot teams to coordinate customer requirements
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reports and call plans
• Work towards sales targets and territory revenue budgets

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience in B2B sales, account management or business development
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify sales opportunities
• Good organisation and confidence managing multiple customer accounts
• Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools
• A proactive, self-motivated and target-driven approach
• The ability to work independently and alongside depot teams
