Mobile Forklift Engineer

Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer
Location: Covering Newport, Gloucester & Bristol. 
Basic Salary: £34,000 – £38,000
OTE: £50k+ 
 
In this role, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
 
You’ll diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, carry out routine inspections and safety checks and attend breakdowns to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing servicing, maintenance and repair work on a broad range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
• Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure all equipment remains fully compliant
• Completing safety checks and pre-delivery inspections
• Responding to breakdowns and conducting reactive maintenance to reduce customer downtime
• Effectively organising and managing your workload and service schedule
• Accurately filling out service reports and job sheets
• Communicating with parts departments to ensure the correct components are sourced and installed

 
What you’ll need:

• Experience as a Forklift engineer / Plant Fitter / Agricultural technician / HGV technician 
• Proven experience of servicing, maintaining & repairing diesel engines
• Confident working with electrics, hydraulics and diagnostic equipment
• Full UK driving licence

 
Your Package:

• Location: Newport/Bristol/Gloucester
• Basic Salary: £34,000 – £38,000
• OTE: £50,000+ (based on 10 hrs overtime per week)
• Monday to Friday, 40hrs, 8am-4:30pm
• Overtime paid at 1.5x

• Company van with fuel card (for mobile roles)
