Salary: £40,000
OTE: £50,000
Hours: Monday – Friday 45 hour week
Overtime paid at 1.5

About the Company
My client is a large and rapidly growing provider of powered access and plant equipment across the UK. They are looking for a skilled Mobile Powered Access Engineer to join their engineering team. The role will involve maintaining and servicing a growing fleet of powered access rental equipment, with the successful candidate visiting customer sites across the East region. The business offers a fast-paced and rewarding working environment, with opportunities for career development and progression.
The Role
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI), servicing, LOLER inspections, repairs and manufacturer updates on powered access equipment.
- Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair breakdowns, minimising equipment downtime.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs while maintaining high standards across the rental fleet.
- Accurately record inspections, repairs and maintenance using a company-issued PDA and follow all company procedures.
- Work closely with the engineering team and hire office to manage workloads and maximise machine availability.
What You’ll Need
- Engineering qualification, ideally in plant maintenance, to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with previous experience working on powered access equipment.
- Competent with electro/hydraulic systems and experienced in fault-finding and diagnostics.
- Valid IPAF Operator licence/certification.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy mobile engineering environment.
