Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer
Basic Salary: £35,000 – £38,000
OTE: £39,750 – £43,750
Location: Dewsbury and surrounding areas

We are looking for a skilled Mobile Forklift Engineer / Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair a range of materials handling equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Service, maintain and repair materials handling equipment, including forklifts, side loaders and reach trucks.
Diagnose faults and identify potential repairs to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
Complete service records, job sheets, parts orders and warranty work accurately.
Plan and book scheduled maintenance with customers.
Prioritise and manage your workload effectively.
Ensure chargeable work and scheduled servicing are completed within agreed timescales.
Maintain regular communication with the service team regarding completed work, estimates, damage reports and outstanding jobs.
Carry out lifting equipment inspections when required.
Carry out PAT testing when required.
Follow all site health and safety requirements and wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
Participate in a weekend call-out rota.
Carry out any other reasonable duties required as part of the role.

Experience you will need:

Ideally, previous experience servicing, repairing or maintaining forklifts, plant machinery, MHE or similar equipment.
Experience with materials handling equipment, construction or agricultural machinery, powered access equipment or similar would be advantageous.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
A good Light Vehicle Technician background will also be considered.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.

Your Package:

Basic Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 dependent on experience
overtime paid at 1.5x.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
weekend call-out rota (to be discussed at interview)
