Salary: £30,000-£35,000
About the Company:
My client, a large Plant Hire company operating nationwide, is seeking a skilled Service Controller to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company and play a crucial role in their operations.
Role Overview:
As a Service Controller, you will be responsible for managing hire enquiries and coordinating service activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate a team of field-based engineers and technicians.
• Manage incoming plant breakdowns and technical issues from customers.
• Assess breakdowns and determine the appropriate engineering response.
• Allocate engineers based on location, skillset, urgency and availability.
• Schedule planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Monitor outstanding breakdowns and ensure repairs are progressed through to completion.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Service Controller role will have:

• Strong technical knowledge of plant and construction equipment.
• Previous experience within plant hire, construction equipment or a closely related industry.
• Understanding of plant breakdowns, servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Experience coordinating engineers or technicians.
