Working as an Air Conditioning Engineer
Air conditioning engineers install and service heating and air conditioning systems in a broad range of buildings, like offices, schools and hospitals. As an air conditioning engineer, you’ll need a combination of qualifications, experience and skills.
To start as an engineer, you’ll need at least a level 2 qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning or similar, with the option to complete a level 3 qualification for more advanced learning. Additionally, experience working on single-split, multi-split, twin-split, ducting split systems and VRV/VRF systems would also be desirable.
Finally, if you already have experience working with heat pumps, you can look at both heating and cooling job roles in the future.
