HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity
My client, a well-established family run fleet maintenance business is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Technicians for one of their depots in Manchester. You will be working on an internal fleet of commercial vehicles consisting of RCV’s, Skip Loaders and Hook Loaders) The majority of your time (90%) will be spent at the depot with the remaining (20%) dealing with breakdowns.
Excellent package on offer depending on experience / qualifications of between £20 – £25 per hour.
Company van and fuel provided along with weekly pay
HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter duties
You will be working on an inhouse fleet of circa commercial vehicles to include skip loaders, hook loaders and RCV’s
Working in a well-equipped workshop, the successful HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance.
Duties range from correction of running defects to full vehicle overhauls, diagnostics and everything in between.
You will also be required to undertake inspections and pre-MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
90% of the work will be depot based and the remainder will be dealing with breakdowns
HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter Qualifications / experience required
In order to qualify for the role, the successful HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter will ideally have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) or be time served
You must have extensive experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles.
IRTEC trained would be beneficial but not essential
Full UK driving licence
