About the Company A large and well-established plant hire company in Slough is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join their busy operations team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation that invests heavily in staff development and offers genuine long-term career progression.

Role Overview – Logistics Supervisor As the Logistics Supervisor, you will oversee daily transport and logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of equipment across the region. You will supervise drivers, plan routes, manage workloads, and ensure excellent service delivery for all customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and supporting the daily activities of the transport and logistics team
  • Planning and allocating efficient routes for multiple vehicles
  • Ensuring drivers receive accurate job packs, paperwork, and delivery instructions
  • Monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with UK transport legislation and the Working Time Directive
  • Investigating service delays or delivery issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Coordinating with depot, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Driving continuous improvement within the logistics function

What You Need

  • Previous experience as a Logistics Supervisor, Transport Supervisor, Transport Planner, or similar
  • Background in plant hire, construction logistics, equipment hire, or general logistics preferred
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and support drivers effectively
  • Transport Manager CPC is advantageous but not essential

There was an issue, however the matter has been resolved by the Operations manager Sam and the rest of the staff, including Matt. Very happy with the results. Looks like there was a lack of communication between A staff memberhowever everything has been resolved. Natalie, my first contact with the company was very lovely and professional.
