Vehicle Technician – Coventry

Salary: £42,660 OTE (Basic £36,720 + Bonus + Overtime)
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Day Shifts Only
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential
Basic Salary: £36,720 per year
Bonus: Up to £2,900 per year
OTE with Overtime: £42,660+ (overtime paid at time and a half)

Overview
We’re looking for a Vehicle Technician to join the UK’s leading vehicle rental specialist in Coventry. You’ll maintain and repair a large, varied fleet of light commercial vehicles in a modern workshop, with excellent training and clear earning potential through bonus and overtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet of vans and cars to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for hire.
  • Perform servicing, MOT preparations, diagnostics, and fault finding.
  • Complete all work to a high standard and in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure workshop cleanliness and safety.

What You’ll Need

  • Level 2 qualification with at least 5 years’ experience as a Technician/Mechanic, OR a full Level 3 qualification.
  • Experience working on light commercial vehicles (LCVs) is advantageous.
  • A strong work ethic and good attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.

What’s On Offer

  • Basic salary of £36,720 + bonus up to £2,900
  • OTE of £42,660+ with regular overtime at 1.5x
  • Day shifts only – no evenings or weekends
  • IMI-accredited internal training (including Hybrid/EV, tail lifts, braking systems)

There was an issue, however the matter has been resolved by the Operations manager Sam and the rest of the staff, including Matt. Very happy with the results.
