Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to lead and coordinate operations at a busy HGV workshop in Aberdeen. This is a key leadership role for a proactive Workshop Controller to manage a skilled team, drive efficiency, and ensure all work meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Workshop Controller, you will manage daily workflow, allocating jobs and monitoring progress to maximise productivity.
• Ensure all repair, service, and inspection work meets company and legal standards, approving additional work and maintaining accurate documentation as a professional Workshop Controller.
• Support, motivate, and guide technicians to achieve performance and quality targets.
• Maintain a well-organised, safe, and compliant workshop environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to deliver excellent service.

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or Supervisor in a commercial vehicle or HGV environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Solid understanding of workshop operations, compliance, and health & safety.
• Confidence using workshop management systems (e.g., R2C, Truckfile, Kerridge).
• A focus on efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
