HGV Technician – Plymouth

Pay: Up to £21.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday + 1 in 2 Saturdays
Shifts: Week 1: 6:00am – 2:30pm | Week 2: 1:30pm – 10:00pm
Overtime: Saturday mornings at 1.5x rate
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Earning Potential (OTE)
Basic (no overtime) = £43,680 per year
With Saturday overtime = £47,000+ OTE

Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds / IMI) or have equivalent experience.

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a top commercial vehicle group in Plymouth. This role offers a rotating shift pattern with Saturday overtime at enhanced rates, plus comprehensive benefits including full brand training and career development.

Key Responsibilities

Follow repair orders and job card instructions
Carry out maintenance, inspections and diagnostics on HGVs
Document all work carried out and highlight further repairs required
Maintain clean and safe working bay
Stay updated with technical bulletins and training

What You’ll Need

Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent experience)
Previous workshop experience working on HGVs
Diagnostic and fault-finding experience
Team player who works well under pressure
Confident communicator
