Job Role:              HGV Mechanic
Location:             Weston-super-Mare
Pay:              £42,000
Hours: M-F 6am-3.30pm & 8.30am-6pm
Contract:            Full time permanent role

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter Duties

Maintain and repair a fleet of circa 300 HGV’s to DVSA and manufacturer standards
Carry out inspections, servicing, MOT preparation and complete service documentation
Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve fleet reliability
Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment, including auto-electrical systems

HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter Experience Required

Apprenticeship trained with City & Guilds HGV Parts 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent qualification
Proven experience servicing, repairing and fault-finding on commercial vehicles
Strong knowledge of vehicle body electrics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Experience within the waste management sector is advantageous
LGV Class C / HGV Class 2 licence desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently, safely and competently in a physically demanding role
Reliable, proactive and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship

Celi and Jamie have both been absolutely incredible to deal with. I applied via indeed and Celi sent me a text message asking when would be good to catch up. We had a catch up the next morning where we discussed the role and experiences.. my CV was sent to the client and an interview was organised by Jamie.
Jamie sent all the information over and then celi Called me in the morning to catch up and wish me luck for the interview..

I had the interview, it was alright.. however I felt that it wasn’t for me however Celi was great in discussing the situation and in no way was this bad on kemps side of things these things just don’t always work out!
