Pay: £44,603.40 per annum
Hours: Sunday to Wednesday. Sun-Tue: 07:00-19:00, Wed: 07:00-13:00
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

• Basic Salary: £44,603 per year.

Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic HGV Technician to join the team in Preston. This is a unique permanent days role working a 3.5-day week (Sunday-Wednesday), offering a fantastic work-life balance. You’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers in a professional workshop environment with excellent personal development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities on commercial vehicles and trailers.
• Complete all associated paperwork and procedures for warranty, contract, and retail work.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to a high standard.
• Work methodically to diagnose faults and implement permanent repairs.

What You’ll Need

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds) is essential.
• Proven experience in the diagnosis, servicing, and repair of commercial vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence (HGV licence is preferred but not essential).
• An organised, methodical approach and strong problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
