HGV Technician – Weekend Shift (Bellshill)

Pay: Circa £23.00 per hour
Hours: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 06:00 – 18:00 (34.5-hour week)
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

Basic Salary: Circa £41,262 per year (based on 34.5-hour week).
Quarterly Bonus: Available as part of the package.
Realistic OTE: Details of overtime rates and additional earnings to be confirmed at interview.

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle depot in Bellshill on a permanent weekend shift. This condensed 3-day week (Friday-Sunday) offers a fantastic work-life balance—perfect for fitting around family or cutting down hours while still earning a full-time wage.

Our client has been named a Top Employer for three consecutive years, reflecting their commitment to staff development and wellbeing.

You’ll benefit from an 8% pension, a company car scheme with a new vehicle every 6 months, a quarterly bonus incentive, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

For the right candidate, they will fund Class 1 licence training, IRTEC accreditation, and Level 3 EV & Hybrid qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret instructions from job cards and comply with repair instructions.
Attend training and keep abreast of the latest technical information.
Accurately report and record work done, including any further work required.
Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition.
Enhance the image and reputation of the company whilst supporting its commercial interests.

What You’ll Need

Proven experience working with HGVs, ideally in a workshop environment.
A recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance is advantageous.
Strong understanding of commercial vehicle mechanics.
Ability to work well as part of a small team and communicate effectively.
Full UK driving licence.
