HGV Technician (Early/Late Shift) – Aberdeen

Pay: £18.27 – £24.70 per hour (including shift allowance)
Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Rotating shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Week 2: Monday – Thursday, 15:30 – 00:00 | Friday, 13:30 – 22:00
+ 1 in 2 Saturdays
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

Basic Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 per year (including shift allowance)
Realistic OTE: £45,000 – £48,000+ per year with overtime
Saturday rate and additional overtime paid at enhanced rates

Overview
We’re looking for an HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle operation in Aberdeen on a rotating early/late shift pattern. You’ll carry out service, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs in a modern workshop environment, working Week 1 days and Week 2 lates with 1 in 2 Saturdays. This role offers a competitive salary including shift allowance, with realistic OTE up to £48,000+. IRTEC accreditation courses are available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
Perform diagnostics and fault-finding to manufacturer standards
Complete accurate job cards and documentation
Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

What You’ll Need

LGV/HGV/PCV licence is an advantage
Bus and coach experience is an advantage
IRTEC accreditation is desirable but not essential (training available)
Proven experience as an HGV Technician
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to work rotating shifts and 1 in 2 Saturdays
