HGV Technician (Dayshift) – Aberdeen

Pay: £18.27 per hour
Salary: £38,000 – £41,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

Basic Salary: £38,000 – £41,000 per year
Realistic OTE: £41,000 – £44,000+ per year with overtime
Overtime rates and additional earnings to be confirmed at interview

Overview
We’re looking for an HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle operation in Aberdeen on a permanent dayshift basis. You’ll carry out service, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs in a modern workshop environment, Monday to Friday with no shift rotation. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to boost your earnings with available overtime.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
Perform diagnostics and fault-finding to manufacturer standards
Complete accurate job cards and documentation
Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

What You’ll Need

LGV/HGV/PCV licence is an advantage
Bus and coach experience is an advantage
IRTEC accreditation is desirable but not essential (training available)
Proven experience as an HGV Technician
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Full UK driving licence
