Shift: Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm

Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join their professional and supportive workshop team.

The Role of the HGV Technician

You will be working alongside a team of experienced and highly skilled technicians, maintaining, and repairing a varied fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers. This is a hands-on role where technical ability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out vehicle inspections and safety checks
Completing routine servicing and planned preventative maintenance
Diagnosing and carrying out reactive repairs when required
Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT testing
Identifying and rectifying running defects
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and compliance standards
General workshop duties associated with HGV maintenance and repair

About the Successful HGV Technician

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience working with heavy goods vehicles.
You will ideally have:

Extensive knowledge of HGVs and trailers
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
Proven experience working as an HGV Technician
A Class 1 HGV Licence (desirable but not essential)
A professional and reliable approach with strong attention to detail
