Job Title: HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer
Location: Halifax
Hours: M-F 7.30am-4.00pm
Salary: £18.41 per hour
Overtime: Available and paid at £27.61 per hour

Overall purpose of the HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer
Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections (VOSA standards) and subsequent repairs to a variety of HGV’s and other commercial vehicles to include sea port / ground support equipment.
Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair. Based in a state of the art modern workshop
Responsibilities of the HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer
• To accurately and quickly fault diagnose and undertake resultant repairs on a range of makes and models of HGV’s and other commercial vehicles
• Undertake vehicle servicing, repair and other related work.
• Complete all vehicle servicing and repair documentation correctly, in a timely manner and to a good standard.
HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Engineer experience required
- City and Guilds Level 3 – Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems – Maintenance and Repair Qualification or equivalent qualification.
- To demonstrate substantial experience in Auto Electrician fault diagnosis and resultant repairs, including the use of electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Working experience of a range of heavy goods / specialist vehicle.
- Experience of undertaking fault diagnosis and repairs on specialist vehicles.
- UK valid driving licence.
