HGV Technician – Droitwich, Worcester

Pay: £18 – 20 per hour. Overtime at 1.5x hourly rate.
Hours: Earlies & Late Shifts
Shifts: Week 1: 8:00am – 4:30pm | Week 2: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Contract: Permanent

Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds) or have completed an engineering apprenticeship.

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a major player in the commercial vehicle market in Droitwich. This role offers the chance to work on brand-new equipment and help set up new workshop processes, with no weekend work required.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard
Diagnose and rectify all types of faults, including roadside assistance
Work on brand-new equipment and vehicles up to 5 years old
Help set up new processes within the workshop
Identify possible equipment and operational improvements
Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are followed

What You’ll Need

Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or engineering apprenticeship
Proven commercial vehicle experience
Current driving licence (LGV/HGV licence preferred)
ADR certification (advantageous)
Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
