HGV Technician

Job Title: HGV Technician
Location: Greenford
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm
Salary: Up to £21.56 per hour

My client is looking for a well-rounded and experienced HGV Technician to join their growing team in Greenford.

As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic you will be required to:

• Undertake all aspects of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair on a modern fleet of commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with vehicles, plant, and machinery
• Carry out repairs ranging from correction of running defects through to full vehicle overhauls
• Prepare a range of vehicles to MOT standard, from 3.5t to 26t HGV/RCV, including completing all necessary repairs and maintenance  
• Maintain accurate records of servicing, inspections, repairs, and maintenance carried out
• Ensure the workshop is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, organisation, and safety

What the successful HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic will need:

• In-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers
• Previous experience working in a workshop environment as an HGV Technician
• Fully skilled with industry-recognised qualifications such as City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Service, Maintenance and Repair
• HGV Class 1 licence desirable, but not essential
• Current full UK Driving Licence or equivalent
• Strong understanding of vehicle system diagrams
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
