HGV Technician – 4 on 4 off Nights (Contract)

Pay: £35.00 – £37.00 per hour
Hours: 4 on / 4 off nights, 18:00 – 06:00
Contract: 6 months

Earning Potential (OTE)

• Hourly Rate: £35.00 – £37.00 per hour
• Weekly earnings: Up to £1,554 per week (based on 42-hour week average)
• Monthly earnings: Up to £6,700+ per month

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a night shift team on a 4 on / 4 off pattern. This is a 6-month contract role offering excellent hourly rates of up to £37.00 per hour. You’ll carry out all standard night shift duties, working a condensed week with great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Conduct safety inspections and MOT preparations as required
• Complete all job cards and paperwork accurately
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
• Work independently and efficiently during night shifts

What You’ll Need

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work 4 on / 4 off night shifts (6pm – 6am)
• Available for a 6-month contract
