Mobile PSV Field Service Technician – Scotland

Salary: £55,000 basic per year + Overtime + Call out payments
OTE: £80,000+
Hours: Monday – Friday (flexible working hours available)
Contract: Permanent

Overview
We are a leader in the bus and coach industry, known for engineering precision and innovation, and we are expanding our team. We are seeking an experienced Field-based Service Technician to join our dynamic service team in Scotland. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a growing fleet of buses and coaches, directly impacting our commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, including axle and driveline repairs
Conduct pre-delivery inspections, routine maintenance, preventative measures, and repairs
Electrical fault finding including diagnosing CAN networks
Diagnose faults on HGV/PSV air systems
Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies
Utilise diagnostic equipment and stay abreast of emerging technologies
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Work independently in a field-based role, managing time and resources effectively

What You’ll Need

Proven experience as a Service Technician within the bus, coach, or heavy vehicle sector
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
Relevant technical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance and repair
Full clean driving licence (D/PSV licence preferable)
Willingness to travel across Scotland
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Training & Development

Paid OEM training on all major brands including advanced EV training and certification
Close working relationship with key component suppliers including Allison, ZF, Knorr-Bremse, Cummins with advanced training on all diagnostic equipment
In-house training and development with engineering and technical experts
