Mobile PSV Field Service Technician – Scotland
Salary: £55,000 basic per year + Overtime + Call out payments
OTE: £80,000+
Hours: Monday – Friday (flexible working hours available)
Contract: Permanent

Overview
We are a leader in the bus and coach industry, known for engineering precision and innovation, and we are expanding our team. We are seeking an experienced Field-based Service Technician to join our dynamic service team in Scotland. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a growing fleet of buses and coaches, directly impacting our commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, including axle and driveline repairs
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections, routine maintenance, preventative measures, and repairs
- Electrical fault finding including diagnosing CAN networks
- Diagnose faults on HGV/PSV air systems
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Utilise diagnostic equipment and stay abreast of emerging technologies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Work independently in a field-based role, managing time and resources effectively
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a Service Technician within the bus, coach, or heavy vehicle sector
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
- Relevant technical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Full clean driving licence (D/PSV licence preferable)
- Willingness to travel across Scotland
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Training & Development
- Paid OEM training on all major brands including advanced EV training and certification
- Close working relationship with key component suppliers including Allison, ZF, Knorr-Bremse, Cummins with advanced training on all diagnostic equipment
- In-house training and development with engineering and technical experts
