HGV Technician – Rotating Shifts (Avonmouth)

Pay: £21.37 – £24.44 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Rotating shift pattern:

• Week 1: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:30
• Week 2: Monday – Thursday, 14:00 – 22:30 | Friday, 13:30 – 22:00
  Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

• Hourly Rate: £21.37 – £24.44 per hour
• Basic Salary: £44,450 – £50,835 per year (based on 40-hour week)
• Overtime: Available at enhanced rates
• Annual Bonus: Eligibility to annual bonus scheme
• Realistic OTE: Details to be discussed at interview

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Avonmouth on a rotating early/late shift pattern. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of heavy goods vehicles to manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to manufacturer standards
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
• Complete all work in line with health & safety requirements
• Maintain accurate job cards and service records
• Liaise with the parts department to ensure timely access to required components
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

What You’ll Need

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds) or equivalent
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician (main dealer experience desirable)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable)
• Computer literate with good communication skills
