Pay: £19.00 – £20.50 per hour (DOE)
Hours:

Monday – Wednesday: 08:30 – 17:00
Thursday: 08:30 – 20:00 (includes 3 hours guaranteed overtime at 1.5x)
Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

Hourly Rate: £19.00 – £20.50 per hour
Basic Salary: £39,520 – £42,640 per year (based on 40-hour week)
Guaranteed Overtime (Thursday): 3 hours per week
Guaranteed Overtime per year: + £4,446 – £4,797
Total Guaranteed Earnings: £43,966 – £47,437 per year
Additional Overtime: Available at 1.5x rate
Realistic OTE: £45,000 – £50,000+ per year

Overview
We’re looking for an HGV Technician with strong diagnostic experience to join our team. This role offers a stable weekly schedule with a guaranteed 3 hours of overtime every Thursday at time-and-a-half, providing you with consistent additional earnings. Diagnostic ability is the most important requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
Perform diagnostic testing and fault-finding using modern equipment
Interpret diagnostic results to identify and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Complete accurate job cards and service records
Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

What You’ll Need

Strong diagnostic experience is essential
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI) is desirable
Proven experience as an HGV Technician
Full UK driving licence
Good communication and problem-solving skills

What’s On Offer

£19.00 – £20.50 per hour
Guaranteed 3 hours overtime every Thursday at 1.5x
Total guaranteed earnings from £43,966 per year
OTE £45,000 – £50,000+
