HGV Technician – Stoke (Nights)

Salary: Up to £55,823 per year
Hours: Monday – Friday, 22:30 – 07:00 (nights) – 40 hours paid per week after 30-min unpaid break (8.5 hour shift, 30-min break = 8 paid hours x 5 nights = 40 hours)

Hourly Rate: £26.84 per hour (based on 40 paid hours per week)
OTE: £61,000 – £65,000+ per year (including 3 hours overtime per week at 1.5x)

Overview
We’re looking for an HGV Technician to join the night shift team in Stoke.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers
Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
Liaise with parts department to attain parts
Complete job cards and service sheets
Ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
Work independently during night shifts

What You’ll Need

Excellent customer service skills
HGV and PSV licence (desirable but not essential)
Technical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ) or proven experience
Experience in commercial vehicle workshop
Ability to work night shifts independently
