Description
Job Title: Technical Service Coordinator
Location: Northampton
Salary: Up to £35,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts – 40 hours per week
Key Duties of the Technical Service Coordinator:
KPI & Reporting
- Daily chasing with external suppliers, with system updates on time to completion
- Weekly completion of the WIP report and WIP comparison report
- Completion of VOR reporting
- Weekly production of exception report showing missed services, along with distribution to relevant technical maintenance controller
- Managing assigned KPI’s and action accordingly
- Participate as a member of the Fleet desk team
Fleet Desk Support
- Be an active team member responsible for answering fleet desk calls and directing or acting on the call accordingly
- Assist with resolution of invoice queries allocated via the query process to the fleet area
- Assist satellite workshops & mobile engineers with Fleetwave issues/queries
- Support the technical service administrator when required
Fleet Management & Support
- Run legal servicing reports, validate information based on current Fleetwave data and arrange bookings for service events
- Liaise with customers and third-party repairers to book vehicles in for services, including delivery/collection arrangements
- Accurate and timely entry of jobs on Fleetwave
- Ensure vehicles remain compliant at all times; chase and update WIP and keep customers informed
- Chase and check compliance paperwork from suppliers and upload to Fleetwave
- Escalate issues arising from service paperwork
- Create defect jobs triggered by customers
- Process tyre requests, add job details, review reports and obtain recharges
- Monitor and action daily movements, including cancellation of service events
Supplier Management
- Monitor daily movements and arrange maintenance solutions for hired vehicles
- Source maintenance providers and liaise proactively to plan upcoming services
- Establish a network of maintenance providers, setting up supplier accounts and negotiating rates
Skills required for this Technical Service Coordinator role:
- Good work organisation
- Excellent telephone manner
- IT literate (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
- Able to prioritise workload
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in a commercial vehicle environment
