Role: Automatic Door Engineer
Location: Redhill, Brighton, Kingston upon Thames, Twickenham, Croydon
Salary: £43,290 + Door-to-Door 
Shift: Monday – Friday (45 hours)
Overtime: Offered at 1.5x / 2x
On call: 1/6 weeks rota 
Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays

My client, a trusted national specialist engineering company providing the installation, servicing, and maintenance of automatic entrance systems, is seeking a dedicated Automatic Door Engineer to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of automatic and industrial doors across the assigned region. The role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills to engage with clients and internal teams. What you’ll be doing in your new Automatic Door Engineer role:
Install, service, and maintain automatic and industrial doors in accordance with relevant industry standards.
Work on a wide range of manufacturers’ products, including both electronic and mechanical systems.
Diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
Complete all required documentation and reporting using company systems (e.g., iPad).
Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.
Participate in the on-call rota and work overtime as required.

What my client is looking for in an Automatic Door Engineer:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an automatic door engineer.
EN16005 or BS7036 qualification.
Valid CSCS card.
IT literate, with experience using Excel, Outlook, and customer portals.
Experience using tablets (e.g., iPad) for job management.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
Good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with industrial doors would be desirable as well as an IPAF licence.
