Semi-Skilled HGV Technician
Location: Doncaster
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (6:00pm – 6:30am)
Salary: £46,800 – £50,000 per annum

Working as part of an experienced team, you will play an important role in ensuring vehicles are maintained to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

The Role of the Semi-Skilled HGV Technician

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will assist in carrying out maintenance and repair tasks while developing your skillset and contributing to overall workshop productivity.

Key Responsibilities of the Semi-Skilled HGV Technician

  • Assist with servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and associated components
  • Support technicians in completing work efficiently and safely using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Ensure all job cards and service/inspection sheets are completed accurately and legibly
  • Follow parts ordering procedures and manage exchange items correctly
  • Deliver quality workmanship while developing technical ability through hands-on experience
  • Handle all vehicles, tools, and workshop equipment with care and attention
  • Work professionally and support colleagues to ensure a strong team environment
