Role: Automatic Door Engineer
Salary: £40,000 DOE + Door to Door + Van
Location: Birmingham
Shift: 40 hours per week
Overtime: Offered at 1.5x / 2x
On Call: 1 / 4-5 weeks rota

Are you an experienced Automatic Door Engineer looking to join one of the UK’s leading entrance automation specialists? My client is expanding their team! This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that delivers cutting-edge entrance solutions across commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, retail sites and public spaces throughout the UK.

As an Automatic Door Engineer you will be responsible for
Service and repairs of automatic swing and sliding door systems
Working safely and efficiently on customer sites
Ensuring works are completed to a high standard
Communicating effectively with colleagues, site teams and customers
Using tablets and digital job systems to complete paperwork
Lone working

The successful Automatic Door Engineer will have the following experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience service and repairs of automatic doors (time served considered)
Experience with automatic swing and sliding doors is essential
Comfortable using tablets / IT systems
Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
Experience with security lanes, revolving doors or access control systems would be advantageous

The Automatic Door Engineer will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes
Up to £40,000 basic DOE
Door-to-door pay
New Ford Transit vans (fleet renewed every 4 years)
Tools and uniform provided
On-call rota
Enhanced overtime rates
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
Company pension scheme (4% employer contribution)
Healthcare plan with dental, optical, physio & chiropractic benefits
24/7 GP support and 4x life insurance

Celi and Jamie have both been absolutely incredible to deal with. I applied via indeed and Celi sent me a text message asking when would be good to catch up. We had a catch up the next morning where we discussed the role and experiences.. my CV was sent to the client and an interview was organised by Jamie.

I had the interview, it was alright.. however I felt that it wasn’t for me however Celi was great in discussing the situation and in no way was this bad on kemps side of things these things just don’t always work out!
