Location: Doncaster
Shift: 4 on 4 off Days | 6:00am – 6:00pm
Salary: £18.40 per hour

Our client is a well-established, family-owned business with over 30 years of success within the commercial vehicle industry. With 13 depots across the UK and multiple industry awards for outstanding service, they continue to invest in their people and are looking to add an experienced HGV Technician to their growing Doncaster workshop.
The Role – HGV Technician
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a professional and supportive workshop carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a modern fleet of HGVs and trailers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers to manufacturer and company standards.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Carrying out inspections, preventative maintenance and vehicle overhauls.
- Completing pre-MOT inspections and preparing vehicles for annual test.
- Undertaking repairs identified during inspections.
- Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation.
- Working safely and maintaining high standards of workmanship at all times.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this HGV Technician position, you will have:
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Good knowledge of commercial vehicle and trailer maintenance.
- A Class 1 HGV licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
