Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a skilled Mobile HGV Technician to cover the Livingston area.

The Role

Working from a fully equipped company van, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing HGVs at customer sites, helping to keep fleets operating safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Responding to roadside breakdowns and carrying out emergency repairs.
• Completing preventative maintenance inspections.
• Using the latest diagnostic equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately.
• Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA and manufacturer standards.
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Delivering excellent customer service while working independently.

What We’re Looking For in the successful Mobile HGV Technician

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Mobile HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A good understanding of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A full UK Driving Licence.
