Van Technician – Tipton

Pay: £20.00 – £21.00 per hour (depending on breakdown cover)
Hours: 45 hours per week + Saturdays as required
Shifts: Rotating: 07:00 – 16:30 / 08:30 – 18:00
Contract: Permanent

Earning Potential (OTE)

• Hourly Rate: £20.00 per hour (workshop only) | £21.00 per hour (including breakdowns)
• Basic Salary: £46,800 – £49,140 per year (based on 45-hour week)
• Overtime: Saturdays and additional hours paid at enhanced rates
• Realistic OTE: £50,000 – £55,000+ per year with overtime

Overview
We’re looking for a qualified Van Technician to join our newly opened Van Centre in Tipton. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with a thriving new site, offering excellent basic earnings and a choice of pay rates – £20.00 per hour for workshop-only work or £21.00 per hour if you’re happy to cover breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light commercial vehicles
• Perform diagnostics and fault finding to manufacturer standards
• Conduct safety inspections and routine maintenance
• Complete all job cards and documentation accurately
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
• (If on higher rate) Attend breakdowns and roadside assistance calls

What You’ll Need

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in LCV Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)
• Proven experience as a Van Technician
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
• Full UK driving licence
• (For higher rate) Willingness to cover breakdowns
