Are you an experienced Trailer Fitter looking for a Monday to Friday role with no weekend shifts? We are looking for a skilled and qualified Mobile Trailer Fitter to join a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance operation in Preston.
This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to a fleet of commercial trailers, working across a large yard and between two local sites.

The Role of the Mobile Trailer Fitter

As a Mobile Trailer Fitter, your responsibilities will include:
 

• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on commercial trailers.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, brake and suspension faults.
• Preparing trailers to DVSA standards.
• Welding and fabrication repairs where required.
• Completing safety inspections and defect rectification.
• Working independently across the main yard and two local sites.
• Maintaining accurate job records and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.

To be considered for this Mobile Trailer Fitter position, you will need:
 

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle, Trailer Maintenance or Commercial Vehicle Repair.
• Previous experience repairing and maintaining commercial trailers.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
